How to get to the Munich Digitization Center
If you are interested in visiting the Munich Digitization Center please arrange an appointment first by calling +49-89-28638-2394 or sending a mail to mdz(a)bsb-meunchen.de. Meet us at Bavarian State Library (Bayerische Staatsbibliothek), Digital Library Department, Ludwigstraße 16, 80539 Munich/Germany.
Due to limited parking place for visitors we recommend the use of the local public transport system. If you arrive at the airport, take the suburban train (S-Bahn) to "Marienplatz", change to the northbound underground trains U3/U6 and get off at "Odeonsplatz" or "Universität". Visitors arriving by train at Munich Central Station ("Hauptbahnhof") should take the underground lines U4/U5 towards "Arabellapark" or "Neuperlach Süd" and drop out at "Odeonsplatz" station. From there it is just a three minutes walk northwards to our library building.
Please visit
Google Maps for detailed Information or see a
sketch of the neighbourhood. The timetables of the Munich Transport System (MVV)can be checked
here, those of the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn)
here. See our
list of Hotels in the neighbourhood of the Bavarian State Library [pdf] to find accommodation.
