Music Manuscripts of the Bavarian State Library

This group consists of autographs and copies from the 15th century to the present, such as for example the monumental choir books of the Bavarian court music ensemble or manuscripts from collections and personal papers of important composers. Furthermore, sources from concluded collections are comprised, such as the historical performance materials of the Bavarian State Opera (shelf mark: St.th.). The digital offer of copyright-free music manuscripts is continuously expanded, on the one hand by the current orders, on the other hand by digitisation for reasons of conservation by the Bavarican State Library.
