20 years of innovative services - Bavarian State Library celebrates the anniversary of its Munich Digitization Center.

More than 1.9 million digitized volumes, the largest fleet of scanning devices of all German cultural institutions, innovative projects such as the image-based siliarity search, the newspaper portal digiPress, apps, 3D digitization, new presentation systems, a collaboration with Google as well as the Stanford University Libraries or Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. This and much more characterize the digitization strategy of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (BSB). BSB is now celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Munich Digitization Center (MDZ). The anniversary will be celebrated on Tuesday evening, 27 June 2017, with a ceremony at the Bavarian State Library.
